Love to Rent - renting but not as you know it

The Love to Rent platform has been developed at a time when the face of renting is changing. No longer associated solely with young professionals, the number of older people and families choosing to rent is increasing. The Mayor’s latest Housing in London report has found that one in three private renting households now include children. For many, homeownership is not a viable option and for others, renting provides a desirable level of flexibility as well as the comfort of community living.

There has been a significant increase in the delivery of Build to Rent (BtR) homes over the last few years. In London alone, there are 75,747* properties either complete, under construction or in planning currently according to the British Property Federation. London is leading the way in this market with higher levels of delivery and schemes currently in planning than across the regions. Over 25% of households in London live in open market rental accommodation, yet for many renting is a negative experience and comes with poor perceptions of bad landlords and unfit living conditions. Renters are increasingly looking for a better offer, which BtR homes provide.

Love to Rent believes in the importance of offering true customer choice in the rental market. The platform will change the way customers view renting with the assurance that Love to Rent only allows reputable, governed organisations to market their homes. It is more than just a search facility – it is building communities for the future with homes for people of all ages.
